Q & A

How long have you been with AngioDynamics, and what do you do?

I started with AngioDynamics in January 2020. My role as a Clinical Specialist is to safely support physicians and their staff during endovascular procedures utilizing the Auryon Atherectomy System. Clinical Specialists also provide education and training to physicians, staff, territory managers, and new team members at AngioDynamics and in the field.

What do you find most challenging about your work? What do you like most about your work?

At AngioDynamics, we are given the opportunity to learn and grow. Our teams are given the opportunity to stretch themselves and contribute to success of the entire organization.

Change can be hard, but it is necessary for an organization to grow. In this current moment, there are so many variables affecting our lives at home and our professional careers. It can be overwhelming, but at AngioDynamics, we have a strong leadership team and support structure that gives us the tools to succeed in this environment.

What has been your proudest moment at AngioDynamics?

My proudest moment was introducing the Auryon System to providers in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. The greatest feeling one can ask for is being given the opportunity to change the life of a patient. This is the true definition of service! I am looking forward to being part of AngioDynamics’ future as we reach out to additional countries in the future.

I am also fortunate to have helped build the “Clinical Specialist Ladder,” creating a path for Clinical Specialist career growth. We all want to learn and grow; I was lucky to be a part of this experience.

I am also truly excited about the Clinical Specialist Collaboration, in which we have monthly calls to talk about the challenges we face in the field. We share ideas in how to be successful in cases, and how to give better service to our customers.

What drew you to AngioDynamics originally?

I came from the TAVR space (Trans Aortic Valve Replacement). I heard from a colleague about a device that was about to change the atherectomy space. As endovascular and coronary intervention is my area of specialization, I listened. I saw the Auryon System as a new disruptive technology and wanted to be part of the team.

Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

My goal is to lead a division in which I can help colleagues learn from experiences and challenges that I have faced, and guide them in a career path of growth and continuous learning.
