Q & A

How long have you been with AngioDynamics, and what do you do?

I’ve worked for AngioDynamics for 21 years. I have had many job titles during my tenure. I started my career here as a Quality Engineer, then R&D Engineer, Project Manager, and now Doc Services. Currently I am responsible for a team of 11 people covering services ranging from Drafting, Convenience Kitting, Learning and Development, Graphics, and Change Analysts responsible for releasing all parts and documents. We do a little bit of everything and no two days are ever the same.

What do you find most challenging about your work? What do you like most about your work?

My proudest moment at AngioDynamics was the successful launch of the PICC Max Barrier Packaging Platform. I managed this project and it was my first large launch. My favorite project was Project Horizon, which re-validated all of the products in Glens Falls, NY. That was my first experience leading a cross-functional team. It was rewarding to see all that we accomplished in a short period of time.

The most challenging thing about AngioDynamics is prioritizing all of the varied projects and initiatives that are going on in the company at any one time. My group is typically the last step in the release process so managing a lot of activities at once becomes a juggling act.

The thing that I like most about AngioDynamics is working as a team. I also like how flexible the company has been in figuring out what work environment works best for us. My group has a family-type relationship and will do anything for each other even if it isn’t in their job description. I am very blessed to be able to work with this team daily.

What drew you to AngioDynamics originally, and what has kept you here for more than two decades?

I started at AngioDynamics directly out of college. Throughout the years I have worked for a number of functions but keep coming back to Quality. Having an engineering background has helped me easily transition between the jobs and I think that I am able to see the big picture based on my background.

In 10 years, I see myself leading the same group of people at AngioDynamics. The company has undergone a number of name changes, acquisitions, and divestitures, but the people have stayed the same. It is the people that I work with and the patients that we are helping that have kept me here for so long.
