Q & A

How long have you been with AngioDynamics, and what do you do?

I have been on the Information Technology team as the Senior Infrastructure and Systems Engineer for over 17 years. I am responsible for the daily management of the internal and external networks, Office 365 applications, and additional online computer systems.

What attracted you to work at AngioDynamics?

Initially, I was hired by Rita Medical and learned more about the company and medical technology manufacturing. Subsequently, the company went through an acquisition by AngioDynamics with an expanded product line. I stayed with the company through the merger and was intrigued by new innovative products.

What do you like most about your work?

I like to come to work every day at a company that is making the world a better place through the devices we manufacture. Over the last two years, my wife had to have both Midlines and PICC lines, and I insisted they use BioFlo products each time to ensure there were no secondary issues with thrombus.

What do you find most challenging about your work?

In information technology, there is always a new crisis right around the corner, as well as new software and hardware to learn and teach to our teams. One of the most challenging parts is ensuring that the online tools we roll out are done correctly and support the global teams.

What has been your proudest moment at AngioDynamics?

There have been several; however, the one that stands out is the small part I played in moving Oracle to the new hosting environment. Being a part of a team that made a monumental and successful move in such a short time is another one of the reasons I love being a part of the Angio family.

Where do you see yourself in the next ten years?

I am working for AngioDynamics, helping the company, providing technical support across multiple businesses, and continuously improving my computer skills as part of our dedicated IT team.
